Cheryl Thompson was named Corporate Secretary for IDACORP and Idaho Power in May 2024. Prior to this appointment, she served as Lead Counsel and Deputy Corporate Secretary for Idaho Power.
Thompson joined Idaho Power in 2016 as the company’s Corporate, Securities and M&A Attorney where she provided legal counsel in the areas of securities reporting and compliance, debt and equity securities, corporate finance and governance, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial and strategic transactions. Before joining Idaho Power, Thompson was an M&A attorney at large international and national private law firms where her practice focused on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and commercial contract negotiations.
Thompson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Tufts University and a Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University School of Law. Thompson completed the University of Idaho’s Energy Executive Course in 2024.
