Lori D. Smith
Vice President and Chief Risk Officer, IDACORP, Inc. and Idaho Power
Lori Smith was named vice president and chief risk officer in May 2010. Her new job responsibilities include audit, business conduct, corporate security, compliance and risk management.
Prior to this appointment, she served as vice president of Corporate Planning and chief risk officer since Jan. 1, 2008. Before that she was vice president of Finance and chief risk officer, a position she assumed in July 2004.
Smith was appointed to the Ida-West Energy and IDACORP Financial Services boards in January 2008.
Smith joined Idaho Power in 1983 and has held numerous positions in Finance, including corporate accountant, budget accountant, business analyst and Finance team leader. She was appointed director of Strategic Analysis in January 2000.
Smith graduated from Boise State University with a Bachelors in Business Administration/Information Sciences and earned her Chartered Financial Analyst certification in 1999.
