Greg W. Panter
Vice President of Public Affairs, IDACORP Inc. and Idaho Power
Greg Panter assumed the position of vice president of Public Affairs for
IDACORP and Idaho Power on May 1, 2001.
Panter was employed by Idaho Power from 1976 to 1989 as director of Governmental Affairs. During that period he guided the company's legislative efforts that resulted in the successful resolution of the Swan Falls water rights dispute and the development of the 1980 Hells Canyon Complex Settlement Agreement.
Between 1989 and 2001, Panter was self-employed as a lobbyist for energy, mining, manufactured housing, ski area and transportation interests. During that period he also represented Idaho Power. Panter has represented the company on all major political issues involving the company's hydro system and water rights. He has extensive experience dealing with environmental issues on both state and federal levels.
Panter graduated from Idaho State University in 1970 with a B.A. in Government. Between 1973 and 1976, he was employed by Associated Industries of Idaho representing the association's interests to the governor, the Legislature, and Idaho's congressional delegation on issues affecting Idaho business.
